July 14, 2011—APA's Psychology Help Center is an online consumer resource featuring articles and information related to psychology and psychological issues affecting physical and emotional well-being.
The landing page now features a link to content titled, “What Do Practicing Psychologists Do?” The newly updated content provides a succinct overview of the broad range of services provided by licensed psychologists, with multiple links to additional material.
The Help Center is part of the APA Public Education Campaign's current focus on mind/body health.
Another key feature of the Help Center: It links consumers interested in finding a psychologist to our Psychologist Locator. Members who pay the Practice Assessment to the APA Practice Organization are eligible to create and edit a free listing in the Locator.
