APA Advocacy staff have initiated a series of spotlight articles featuring conversations with federal science leaders.  The goal of the series is to provide members with an up-close look    into federally funded psychological research. The first of these articles, an interview with National Institute on Aging director Richard Hodes, MD, appears in the October edition of Psychological Science Agenda. Hodes talks about COVID-19, health disparities, social isolation, dementia, and funding for research and training. The November edition will feature a conversation with Eliseo Perez-Stable, MD, director of the National Institute of Minority Health and Health Disparities.
